18 April 2013, 6:00pm
Rosenwald Theater

This is the story of Bronislaw Huberman’s extraordinary efforts that saved hundreds of Jewish families from the approaching Holocaust. Before the Nazis came to power Huberman was focused solely on building his own musical career but Hitler’s murderous agenda prompted Huberman to act. His personal transformation and subsequent heroic struggle to get Jewish musicians out of Europe to found the Palestine Orchestra, now known as the Israel Philharmonic, is at the heart of this film.
