Jeff Beal Lecture "Music and Storytelling in Documentary and Narrative Film"

Jeff Beal is an Emmy-Award-Winning composter, known for composing the scores and themes
for television shows such as House of Cards as well as music for film and the concert hall.

Blackfish A documentary following the controversial captivity of killer whales,
and the dangers for both humans and whales. The film premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
The Queen of Versailles. A documentary that follows a billionaire couple as they begin
construction on a mansion inspired by Versailles. During the next two years, their empire,
fueled by the real estate bubble and cheap money, falters due to the economic crisis.
